The Top Half Series is based in the top half of the North Island of New Zealand. The series consists of 4 rallying events which are held from May through to October.

Competitors come from all over New Zealand to compete on gravel and tarmac roads, in cars ranging from Subaru Impreza’s to Toyota Corolla’s. The driver who collects the most points from each round of the series wins.

In 2012 the Top Half Series consists of 4 events.

• International Rally of Whangarei - 30-31 March
• Possum Bourne Memorial Rally - 22-24 June
  
• Rally of Gisborne - 25-26 August
  
• Rally of the North - 13 October

Over the years, the Top Half Rally Series has had a number of sponsors who have helped make the series the success it is today. Apart from one year (1997) and the amalgamation of the Top Half and Central Region Series’ in 2007/2008, the series has been sponsored by a variety of companies.
